Well-established New York law firm is looking to hire a Billing Coordinator.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Elite 3.10 experience required, proficient in Elite billing reports for attorney inquiries.
Preparation and distribution of bills for 25+ attorneys
Assist in client collections as needed
Respond to attorneys and staff inquiries both oral and written to discuss billing
statements, status of payments, aged account receivable, and requests of copies of bills
Assist attorneys with bill production tasks, including preparing and editing draft bills and
E-Billing Experience Required / E-Hub thru Elite
Edit time entries for legal secretaries and attorneys as requested
Record and update client’s special billing arrangements including tracking discounts.
Monthly partner billing/split bills/joint bills/delayed bills/volume discounts
Prepare spreadsheets on outstanding Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable
Distribute monthly client statements
Review month-end reports to ensure reconciliation
Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the Firm
Abilities and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 3 years billing experience in a law firm
Experience with Elite billing software required, version 3.10
Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and track
extensive details and establish priorities
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with others
Flexibility for overtime as needed, willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
Willingness to work with and assist other billers in accomplishing work assignments
Pleasant and cooperative attitude
Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
