Description

Well-established New York law firm is seeking a Help Desk Analyst with a few years of experience. The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of the Windows Operating System and be able to provide end-user support in an enterprise environment. Must possess good communication skills and service delivery attitude. The candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, technical communication skills, as well as a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Essential Functions:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating system, hardware components of desktop and laptop PCs and Microsoft Office; knowledge of other legal-specific applications such as iManage, Filesite, Litera, Workshare, BEC Legalbar, and Concordance
  • Support local and network printers
  • Knowledge and ability to remove virus/malware
  • Provide end user support to citrix users
  • Laptop and Projector set-up in conference rooms /Wi-Fi support
  • Oversees loaner laptops, ensure correct software is installed and logs laptops in and out
  • Complete new user workstation setup and new hire training
  • Perform all user moves within the office
  • Regularly demonstrate initiative in supporting the customer outside of expected job assignments
  • Provide escalation status notification and service impacting events
  • Document daily work tasks along with provide update during a weekly meeting

  • Candidate must be willing to be able to work after hours whenever needed
  • Need to be able to lift heavy materials

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred, or comparable information technology experience with technical certifications
  • Additional training/certifications in relevant area of study strongly preferred
  • 4 years' experience providing support to users and IT operations required
  • Prior law firm or professional services firm experience preferred
  • Microsoft Word formatting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Windows Operating System and software Integration
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Basic understanding of Network backend and Active Directory/Group Polices
