Well-established New York City law firm is looking to hire a Legal Secretary/Assistant to join its midtown Manhattan legal team on a temp to perm basis.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with:
● Prior litigation legal secretarial/administrative experience
● Landlord/Tenant experience, a plus
● Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Strong attention to detail
The Legal Secretary/Assistant will:
● Oversee administrative duties such as answering calls, making photocopies,calendar management, etc. and printing
● Draft and format pleadings and other legal documents
● Electronically file legal documents with the Courts
● Input attorney time entries
● Assist with additional tasks, as assigned
Additional Information:
● Hourly rate during the temp phase: TBD commensurate with experience
● Salary upon permanent hire: $80K - $85K commensurate with experience + benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability & 401K
● Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
