Lower Manhattan litigation law firm is looking to hire an experienced legal secretary/legal assistant in civil litigation work, with a primary focus on cases in federal court. Duties include: case file management; calendaring and scheduling; time entry; preparation of bills; electronic court filings; document organization and management; word processing and dictation; preparing discovery pleadings and production; pretrial preparation. Proficiency required in standard computer MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe or Nuance PDF. Strong skills in Excel and Powerpoint required. Must type 70WPM+. Must be willing to take initiative and take on responsibility.
Salary commensurate with experience. Generous benefits package.
Days/Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm with flexibility for overtime.
